5/1 A Rotten System (25.3.69)
Starts: Time to meet The Men From The Ministry. We present Richard Murdoch and Deryck Guyler in The Men From The Ministry, a weekly tribute to the men of our Government service; men who have often been accused of not knowing what good hard work really is, to which they usually reply "What good is it?" In the General Assistance Department, that eager executive Richard Lamb is always frank and fearless, always ready to lay all his cards on the table.
Ends: Muddling through as the Men From the Ministry were Richard Murdoch and Deryck Guyler. Also featured were Norma Ronald, John Graham and Joan Sanderson. The programme was written by Edward Taylor and John Graham, and produced by Edward Taylor.

5/2 A Brush With An Old Master (1.4.69)
Starts: [Time to meet The Men From The Ministry.] We present Richard Murdoch and Deryck Guyler in The Men From The Ministry, a weekly tribute to the men of our Government service; men who keep records of the country's population broken down into statistics, and they do the same for their own organisation. It's not unusual to enter a Ministry office and find the entire staff broken down by age and sex. We go, as usual, to the General Assistance Department, where secretary Mildred Murfin has brought a problem for that eager young executive Richard Lamb.
Ends: ... [Richard Murdoch, Deryck Guyler, Norma Ronald, John Graham, David Nettheim]

5/3 All Play And No Work (8.4.69)
Starts: [Time to meet The Men From The Ministry.] We present Richard Murdoch and Deryck Guyler in The Men From The Ministry, a weekly tribute to the men of our Government service; men who are often compared to monks: they don't say much, they find it hard to keep their hair on, and some of them have odd habits. We go, as usual, to the General Assistance Department, where those two brilliant executives, Lamb and Lennox-Brown, are in the throes of creation.
Ends: ... [Richard Murdoch, Deryck Guyler, Ronald Baddiley, Carole Allen]

In the General Assistance Department, those most civil Civil Servants, Richard Lamb and Deryck Lennox-Brown not only tackle the problems of today, but also keep one eye firmly on the future.
Ends: Muddling through as The Men From The Ministry were Richard Murdoch and Deryck Guyler. Also featured were Ronald Baddiley, John Graham and Carol Allen. The programme was written by Edward Taylor and John Graham, and produced by Edward Taylor.

5/6 The Ship That Wagged Its Tail (29.4.69)
Starts: Time to meet The Men From The Ministry. We present Richard Murdoch and Deryck Guyler in The Men From The Ministry, a weekly tribute to the men of our Government service. Men whose bread and butter depends on their sober and dignified manner. Men indeed who hold themselves half aloof from the hurly burly of life. For they realise that half aloof is better than no bread. As our story opens, we go as usual to the General Assistance Department where today we find that eager young executive Richard Lamb hunched over a drawing board.
Ends: Muddling through as The Men From The Ministry were Richard Murdoch and Deryck Guyler. Also featured were Norma Ronald and John Graham. The programme was written by Edward Taylor and John Graham, and produced by Edward Taylor.
