H-DRILL is a
specialized computer program for doing the stress
calculations for the popular hole-drilling method for measuring
residual stresses. Features of H-DRILL include:
- Blind or through holes
- Works with six common hole-drilling rosettes
- Inch or metric units
- Extensive data error checking
- Not restricted to particular hole depths
- Strain smoothing to get more stable stress solutions
- Estimates ranges of stresses for given data uncertainties
- Displays results in graphical and numerical formats
- Uniform stress calculations according to ASTM E837-08
- Stress vs. depth calculations according to ASTM E837-08
- Power Series calculations for linearly varying stresses
- Detailed instruction manual and answers to FAQ
